Improving protein drugs clinical utility

Our Mission

We use state of the art biotechnology techniques to develop new versions of proven protein
drugs in order to reduce adverse side effects and achieve higher clinical utilities.

Patented molecular configuration for creating new and long lasting "chimeric" protein-drugs.
Proven protein (single chain antibodies) therapeutics are genetically fused to naturally
occurring immuno-protective molecules, thus reducing elimination from the blood. This
extends the drug's Half-life by several orders of magnitude, improves its effectiveness and
reduces toxicity.

Issued in Canada, Britain and the Commonwealth, the European Community and in the U.S.

Under development, chimeric versions of interleukins (IL-2, IL-6) targeted towards disease
indications such as renal cell (kidney) carcinoma, melanoma (skin) cancer and AIDS.

The Research and Development program has been sustained financially through income
from contract R&D for academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, national research
council grants and R&D tax credits.

A private company with all Intellectual Property owned by the principal, Dr. E. Y. Shami.

patents issued in over 20 countries.

2) Experienced management with proven track record of innovation,
cost efficient execution, and meeting of both R & D and commercial milestones.

3) Well-defined, potential market for cancer therapeutic (renal cell
carcinoma, skin melanoma) which is currently estimated at
US$580,000,000 for the lead product, IL-2 alone. This amount is estimated to
be an order of magnitude larger when the entire protein drugs market is considered.
